Anissa Hampton, widely recognized as "Bigg Sexyy," is a talented soul artist originating from Chicago, Illinois. Her passion for music began at the young age of three, and nurtured her growing talent after moving to Jackson, Mississippi. With her remarkable ability to traverse various musical genres, Anissa's repertoire includes Blues, Soul, Gospel, Opera, and Jazz.
Sharing the stage with eminent figures such as Brian McKnight, Musiq Soulchild, Eric Benét, Regina Belle, Michel'le, and Bobby Rush, Anissa has contributed background vocals for legendary artists such as Willie Clayton, Keeshea Pratt, and Calvin Richardson.
In 2018, she was nominated for “Female Artist of the Year” at the Southern Soul Music Awards. Her single, “Talk to Me,” reached #6 and #10 on the UK charts in 2020, earning her another nomination for “Female Vocalist of the Year” at the Jackson Music Awards. In 2021, she secured the “R&B Band of the Year” award. In 2022 she was named “Entertainer of the Year” and “Female Artist of the Year” at the Jackson Music Awards. Anissa won “Entertainer of the Year” at The Best of Mississippi Awards in 2023. Anissa was also a nominee for “Female Artist of the Year,” “Entertainer of the Year,” and “R&B Group of the Year” at the Jackson Music Awards in 2024. 2025 brought forth her nomination for "Traditional Blues Artist of the Year" and "Band of the Year" at the Soul Music Awards.
Anissa dropped her debut single “Big Sexy” in 2018. She continues to captivate audiences through melodic melodies, including her latest singles, “Doggone Shucky Ducky” and "Holding On (to your good loving)." Her forthcoming Blues EP titled "Variations of Me 2," will be available on all major music platforms soon.
